On June 5, 2021, Saint Teresa’s Motherhouse in Germantown, New York celebrated 75th, 70th, 60th and 50th religious jubilees of our Carmelite Sisters.  We were privileged to have Reverend Monsignor Drake Shafer from the Diocese of Davenport, IA as our principal celebrant.  Very Reverend Mario Esposito, O.Carm. was the Master of Ceremonies assisted by the Carmelite Brothers of the Saint Elias Province in Middletown, New York.  On this day, our Jubilarians renewed their religious vows first made several years ago, in the presence of their families, invited guests and fellow Sisters. It was a beautiful and inspiring testament of mutual love and fidelity- God's and his chosen soul.

We offer our heartfelt gratitude to all our Jubilarians who have given so many years and so much of themselves to the service of God, the Church and our religious Congregation!

At 3:00 pm on Memorial Day 2021, the Carmelite Sisters participated in a national TAPS Across America event to honor our brave military men and women. We taped our short clip, taken from the steps of our chapel, and submitted it to CBS, as instructed. We kept our fingers crossed! We waited in anticipation, hoping that they pick our clip among the hundreds (or maybe even thousands!) other clips. And guess what? WE MADE IT! Watch the whole program. You can find us on marker 2:12!

Here's an excerpt and link from Norah O'Donnell's twitter post:
