The Carmelite Sisters wish all of you a very Blessed Easter! During the celebration of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil, we were very blessed to have among us Very Rev. Mario Esposito, O.Carm, Fr. Joseph Nguyen Do, O.Carm and the pre-Novices of St. Elias Carmelite Province. The three days celebrations which climaxed on the night of the Easter Vigil form the essence of our Christian faith. Jesus by his example of complete self-giving showed us how to be true disciples and how to be true brothers and sisters to one another. The Easter message for Carmelites, in the words of Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity, is this:
“A Carmelite is a soul who has gazed on the Crucified One; who has seen Him offering Himself as a Victim to His Father for souls and, recollecting herself in this great vision of the charity of Christ, has understood the passionate love of His soul, and has wanted to give herself as he did!” (more…)
