Carmelite Symposium Third Day

The North American Carmelite Symposium being held at Saint Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein, IL continued with day three of scheduled conferences on the theme of "Saint Teresa's Gift to Prayer."

Professor Donna Orsuto, S.T.D of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome presented an engaging topic on "Leadership Qualities" found in Saint Teresa using as her point of reference the Saint's Book of Foundations.

Sr. Constance Fitzgerald, OCD and Fr. Brian McDermott, SJ delivered a tandem presentation on "Christ Consciousness: Carmelite and Ignatian Spiritualities."

During one of the conference break sessions, our Sisters found time to pose with tomorrow night's recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award, Fr. Kieran Kavanaugh, OCD.

       

On this beautiful day at Saint Mary of the Lake, the participants of the North American Carmelite Symposium 2015 gathered outside for a group photo.
