Sister M. Patricia Camillus, O.Carm.  passed away peacefully at St. Patrick’s Manor, Framingham, MA on August 2, 2018 in the 58 th year of her religious life.

Born in Rochester, NH on February 27, 1933 to Joseph and Jessie (nee Tremblay) Lucier, Jeannette Irene Lucier entered the Congregation on September 7, 1960, professed first vows on April 17, 1963 and final vows on July 1, 1967.Trained as a Registered Nurse before she entered, Sister Camillus spent most of her religious life serving in positions that utilized her excellent nursing skills. She also served as Superior while at Mary Manning Walsh Home.

Among the many Homes she was stationed at, the longest periods of time were spent at St. Teresa’s Manor, Manchester, NH (1970-1976); Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre, PA (1976-1981) St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Utica, NY (1987-1997); and Mary Manning Walsh Home, NYC, (1998-2005). Her final mission was St. Patrick’s Manor (2005-2018), where she was admitted as a resident in November 2014 and lovingly cared for by the Sisters and staff.

Sister Camillus was an avid baseball fan and always rooted for the NY Yankees. But her faithfulness to the Yankees did not surpass her faithfulness to the Lord whom she loved and served throughout her life. We can be confident that Sr. Patricia Camillus hit a home run up and over centerfield into the bleechers…..and then ran all the way Home!
